Power of the Purse Auction and Gala 2019

Each year, we donate a handbag designed in partnership with a business leader in our community to be auctioned off at the annual Girls Inc. fundraiser, Power of the Purse.

This year we are partnered with the fashionable Tito Chowdhury of Portland’s FashioNXT, and our Girls Inc girl is the dynamic and passionate Peyton.

Our bag this year, the “Be Bold Bag,” is inspired by Nancy Pelosi who is the Speaker of the House and the highest ranking elected woman in office in US history.

About the bag

The design team of Anabaglish and Tito Chowdhury developed this polished and sleek computer bag.  The pop of red suede under the flap is a nod to Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s red coat worn traveling to and from the White House. The shape of the phone pocket in the back and the wallet pockets are inspired by the asymmetrical cut of the coat. Details include: slide pocket for a small laptop or tablet, charging pocket (charger included), a leather loop for your keys, wallet pocket (wallet included), and an exterior phone pocket. Additionally, this bag comes with a pouch for ease of day to night activities. The strap is detachable and the hardware is hidden.  Without the strap, the bag can be worn as an oversized clutch.
