On May 9th I traveled to the Oregon State Capital to testify representing the business community in support of Senate Bill 726.  The law will put protections in place for workers against harassment.  It was a beautiful day and I enjoyed the opportunity to explore the Oregon Capitol Building.

Here I am testifying in front of the Judiciary Committee of the Oregon House of Representatives.

This was such a cool experience, and I am so happy to be part of changing the law to prevent harassment in the workplace. In a couple of weeks the bill will move to the house floor for a final vote.

To create a safe workplace at Anabaglish, our company requires all employees to sign this statement to prevent and consequence harassment.

UPDATE:

Great news! The Oregon Workplace Fairness Act (SB 726) has passed the State Legislature and is headed to Governor Kate Brown’s desk.  This is a step forward for all workers, especially women and people of color, to add critical protections against workplace sexual harassment and discrimination. #ORleg #ORpol
